A wandering mind is an unhappy mind!

Mindful not Mind full

Spending time thinking about something other than what we’re doing is mind-wandering. Scientific results are surprising! a mind wandering is linked to unhappyness.

Indeed, most fulfilling experiences are typically those that engage us body and mind.

Research (psychologists Matthew A. Killingsworth and Daniel T. Gilbert of Harvard University) suggests that mind-wandering can be associated with increased activity in brain regions such as the default mode network and this contribute to feelings of unhappiness or discontent.

On the positive side, we know for sure now that a mind can be trained to wander less with regular and dedicated meditation practice. Strategies like mindfulness meditation and engaging activities can help manage wandering and promote emotional well-being
